Kunstig Glas specialises in glass fusing, making artistic bowls, framed panels, garden objects, jewellery and keepsakes containing the ashes of a loved one. With a passion for working with glass, I combine craftsmanship and creativity to create unique and personal pieces. I also offer glass fusing workshops so that others can experience and try out this way of working with glass. Glass fusing is a technique in which glass is heated to a high temperature so that it melts and fuses with other glass. This happens in a kiln, where different colours and patterns are combined to make a beautiful piece of glasswork. By varying the temperature and the length of the melting process, all kinds of textures and shapes can emerge.

The inspiration to work with glass came after a holiday in the Czech Republic, a “glass country” par excellence, where I saw glass artists at work. The process of working with glass fascinated me enormously. That is why I began taking various courses and workshops to learn more about different glass techniques. That is how I discovered that glass fusing appealed to me most of all. Because of my enthusiasm, people started asking whether I would give glass fusing workshops too. That is how Kunstig Glas came about, focused on making unique, artistic glass objects and on sharing my passion with others.
