My name is Cristina and I usually work with photography and the body. I am very interested in fashion and make-up, and I try to combine both (make-up and photography) with a different, ironic approach.

Marks on the skin become the language, and photography the way of recording it.

My most recent project is a photographic series about self-image and imposed canons. It sets out to examine the self-portrait as another way of policing oneself — a new kind of self-voyeurism, more than present today through social media — with a punitive character; the body is used as a canvas and as a means of expression, along with self-inflicted pain or forcing yourself into uncomfortable situations in order to obtain something: the work itself.
