Jesús Eloy (Granada, 1992) lives and works in Almería. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Granada and took a master’s degree at Insitu3 at the Royal Academy in Antwerp, where he won the departmental In Situ 3 prize (2018).
At this stage of my artistic career dreams play a fundamental role, because they are my source of inspiration — immersing myself in them and in the different worlds they present.
His work was presented in the XVIII edition of CALL at the Luis Adelantado Gallery, with the series of works “WE” (2015). The same work received an honourable mention at the Alonso Cano Awards (2015). The project is a series of cardboard masks made by collage on top of the face, exploring the possibility of generating a new face and of generating new identities.
