From a very young age he was fascinated by the world of art and has always had a painterly curiosity. Even at school his artistic abilities in painting and drawing stood out. That is why he studied at various art academies, learned techniques related to painting and specialised above all in watercolour.
In 2017 he returned to painting with great enthusiasm and rediscovered his lifelong passion. Since then his pictorial output has evolved, merging the influences of impressionist, post-impressionist and more contemporary painters.
As a result of this interest, and after a self-taught period, he decided in 2020 to professionalise his artistic calling by studying Fine Arts at the University of Málaga.
His lines and brushstrokes are generally powerful and energetic; they bring every scene to life and carry the viewer into a world in which light, texture, the alternation between transparency and opacity, and expressiveness play the leading roles. His painting takes artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Peter Doig and David Hockney as references.
Powerful and energetic, bringing every scene to life.
A large part of his output tends towards abstraction and still life, and his skills are applied to a range of subjects, with the natural landscape and walking as an act of resistance among his inspirations, always from a contemporary perspective. The result is a unique artistic expression of his own, in constant evolution.
He considers himself a multidisciplinary artist because, alongside painting, he has developed artistic projects involving ceramics, photography and hand-painted tiles using the traditional majolica technique.
Last May, together with other Fine Arts students, he took part in the university group exhibition “Soy, Luego habito” in the metaverse, held at the Russian Museum in Málaga. He has also taken part in various group exhibitions of Rondarte, an art association of local and foreign artists based in Ronda, Spain.
