I have exhibited both in the Netherlands and abroad. Making photography three-dimensional was my theme for a long time. But playing with light and with other ways of presenting and publishing is something I also enjoy thinking about. A large work was acquired by the Jewish Historical Museum and can be seen in the permanent collection on the first floor.

The horse series were made when I was doing a lot of reportage work for equestrian magazines. The Mexican horses were photographed during the national Charro riding championships in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Mexican elite came there to show off themselves and their horses.

Playing with light and with other ways of presenting and publishing is something I enjoy thinking about.

I photographed the Tunisians in Douz, at an international gathering in the middle of the desert. The Arabians can go extremely fast, and pistols were being fired; the bullets flew past the horses’ ears.

The photographs are printed on aluminium and mounted behind plexiglass.
