My name is Cristina and I usually work with photography and the body. I am very interested in fashion and makeup, and I try to combine both (makeup and photography) with a different and ironic approach.
Signs on skin change in language and photography in the way it is captured.
My latest project is a photo series on self-image and imposed canons. This project attempts to explore self-portraiture as another way of monitoring oneself, a new kind of self-voyeurism (which we have more than present these days with social media), with a punitive nature; the body is used as a canvas and a way of expression and self-inflicted pain or forcing oneself into uncomfortable situations to obtain something (the piece).
