David de Lange graduated from the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam. He has developed as an entrepreneur and artist in photography.

De Lange is primarily a people photographer, he loves watching people, capturing who they are and what they do.

Occasionally he goes out for a different subject, such as night photography.

At the end of January 2019, he decided to make a self-portrait every day for 1,000 days. An intensive undertaking with which he wanted to encourage himself to keep practicing and use his creativity. In 2022, he received a grant from the Stichting Kunst en Cultuurbevordering Nederland to publish a book of this series. A selection of those thousand days is in the book, organized into the different movements that emerged during the process.

He exhibits regularly in collaboration with various agencies, galleries and museums. What he primarily does with his work is to let others see into his personal experience.
