Donna Corbani was born in Santa Barbara, California. After her artist training at Sarah Lawrence College in New York, she followed her heart to the Netherlands. Corbani has more than 300 exhibitions internationally to her credit including Sikkema Jenkins Gallery New York, Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, Keukenhof Lisse, Artihove, GO Gallery Amsterdam, Galerie Rogier Jonk in Bergen, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and a permanent place at the Gemeentemuseum The Hague. Public artworks can be admired in North and South Holland. Among others, a colorful passage route to the sea and a large sculpture on the boulevard of Zandvoort. In 2021, 2 "Giant Tulip Bulbs" are placed in the Bollenstreek in cooperation with Museum de Zwarte Tulp. In Hoorn, 3 fish made of steel stand on the Markermeer. Corbani's style is brimming with a zest for life. Graceful human figures portray emotion through bright, rich colors and clean lines.

"My preference is happy art. I create beautiful moments in a minimalist way. A sensation or strong emotion. Some experiences are precious and special. Then I am only aware of the here and now. Those are the moments I want to share. Colorful, tight, and extremely precise in oil paint."

The characteristic line figures with spiral faces are also there in sculpture form. The same flowing lines rendered in materials such as bronze, aluminum and steel are made in her studio in Zandvoort.
