Painting for me is when landscape and spirituality meet. For I use surfaces and materials of painting to explore interior and exterior spaces. Nature as an outdoor space then engages in a fruitful dialogue with the inner experience of my indoor space, which is expressed as a complex field of tension in the painted image. The canvas becomes a mirror of this interplay.
Currently, I am interested in Andalusian daylight, which I explore by painting en-plein-air.
Stays abroad have always been a source of inspiration for this. Currently I am interested in the Andalusian daylight, which I explore by painting en-plein-air.In 2006 I graduated from the Art Academy in Karlsruhe with Prof. Gross. Until 2020 I worked in Heidelberg (Germany) as an art teacher at a Gymnasium and as a teacher at the Pädagogische Hochschule, had several regional solo and group exhibitions and was involved in artist associations. Since 2016, fourteen canvases have been on display at Heidelberg City Hall.
I am currently working as an art teacher at the Deutsche Schule in Málaga and keep my studio at the 'Espacio Phi' also in Málaga.
