I have worked in the cultural sector my entire life.

Initially as a set designer in theater, later as a documentary filmmaker.

I also spend a lot of time on music (classical singing), and I perform regularly.

In addition to all these commissioned projects, I enjoy creating independent work:

pastel drawings (oil pastels combined with soft pastels) on paper.

I live and work alternately in Amsterdam and in the Ooijpolder near Nijmegen.

In this process, I mostly work from my subconscious, and I often don’t realize what I’ve been doing until afterward.

On this website, you can view works from the Vanishing Light series.

You could describe these works as abstract expressionist

“landscapes of light,” in which we sometimes find ourselves briefly beneath the water’s surface.
